Concerts for a Cause an Expo first

World Ag Expo’s shuttles will be available to return concert-goers to their vehicles after concerts Tuesday and Wednesday evenings. For those parked on the show grounds, people-move trams will also run extended schedules to take you back to your vehicle.

Opening day of the world’s largest annual farm equipment show tomorrow will feature Blake Shelton, followed by David Nail on Wednesday.

Shelton will perform inside the new Entertainment Pavilion on the show grounds at World Ag Expo. Tickets are $40, $60 and $80 each and are available online on at www.worldagexpo.com. Opening for Shelton will be Warner Records recording artist Jason Jones.

The second night of the series is a fund-raiser for the agriculture program at the new College of the Sequoias campus in Tulare and will feature Grammy nominee David Nail with Stealing Angels. Tickets are available online for $65, $50 and $25.

Local artists Chaparral will perform during pre-concert events both evenings to celebrate the release of their first CD.

Headliner Blake Shelton received his first Grammy nomination for “Best Country Collaboration with Vocals” for his single “Hillbilly Bone.” This infectious hit has won an award at every major country award show this year, including “Music Video of the Year” from the ACAs and the ACM and CMA Awards for “Vocal Collaboration.” Shelton’s latest release “LOADED: The Best of Blake Shelton,” debuted in the Top 10 on country charts. He has had seven No. 1 hits.

The Blake Shelton concert is a fundraiser for a new initiative of the International Agri-Center to support California agriculture, explained Stacey Beachy, Director of Corporate Partnerships for the International Agri-Center.
