On the eve of the big opening day …

Welcome to the 44th edition of the World Ag Expo. The staff and volunteers have been busy all year working toward this week, and we’re really excited that it’s here. For those of you in the Farm Credit Dairy Center, you will be pleased to know that we have made a few more improvements to the building. We have replaced the remaining fabric siding with sheet metal and we have cemented the entire floor.

Also new for 2011 are a couple of added features that we are really excited about. We’ve added a new Beef and Livestock Pavilion also known as Pavilion D. From our survey work the past several years, we know that there are more people attending World Ag Expo that have a high interest in the Beef industry. There will be live cattle demonstrations by several different exhibitors demonstrating the latest in beef-related technology.

Another exciting event is our Concerts for a Cause concert series. On Tuesday night of World Ag Expo, we will feature CMA Male Vocalist of the Year award winner Blake Shelton, along with Jason Jones, and on Wednesday night we’ll have David Nail and Stealing Angles on stage in the new Entertainment Pavilion located on the southwest end of the grounds. You may purchase tickets in the Registration Pavilion located in space J 30.

On behalf of the volunteers and staff of World Ag Expo, I want to thank you for being a part of the 2011 World Ag Expo. As always, we look forward to helping you make the best return on your investment at World Ag Expo.
